the day after
in preparation for a long night of calling states, then retracting the prediction, then calling again, i became the nerdiest of nerds.
i whipped up a beautiful plate of TGIF southwestern eggrolls, tortillas and TGIF spinach and artichoke dip.
oh it would be grand. the older kid, the spouse, the dog, and a cold election night with the windows open.
well, hubs fell asleep, kid continued reading Little Women and Maggie strolled around bored with her humans.
it was still exciting though.
After the kid's dentist appt., we went for lunch at Cantina Laredo where we watched Kerry concede. 51-48. humph, i was sure it'd be closer.
and what the hell happened with Frost/Sessions?!
hindsight. what a concept. many commentators pointed out that Kerry never really showed his "real" side and never connected in a way that W could. Bacon head (Ted Koppel) ran a special where he shadowed Kerry's last 9-hour campaign push. Behind the scenes, Lurch seemed, well, kinda cool.
that would've been helpful, oh, i don't know, BEFORE I WENT TO THE POLLING PLACE!
