Hi Ya Hildy!

"And that my friends, is my farewell to the newspaper game. I'm gonna be a woman, not a news-getting machine. I'm gonna have babies and take care of them. Still with me?

Might I just say that the Hispanic journalism community is amazingly like the traditional Latino family. Man are they ever so there for me right now. Why? I hardly know some of these people. But there they stand, steadfast, beside me through all of this, encouraging me to dust myself off. Ahhh, I can hear my uelita and mom now, "why are you crying?! quit being a llorona and get on with it!"
some of these hermanos y hermanas i never even met until the legendary Oct. 27th. they heard from a friend of a friend that I needed help. next thing i know, i'm getting a call from D.C.
UN GRITO PARA MIS HERMANOS!!
