Sample Lunch
Why, I may never comprehend, do people passionately live for free mini-samples?
Micah and Magnolia are no exception. They eat almost an entire meal while I grocery shop at Whole Foods. Cheese, crackers, fruit (oh so much fruit), bread, cookies. You name it.
So today being Friday, always a party day, I set up tasting stations throughout the kitchen and dining room with items I bought from Whole Foods. Sweet, juicy cantaloupe, Seaside Cheddar cubes, Back to Nature Sunflower Basil crackers, bulk-bin ginger snappy cookies. They're lovin it.
Of course, the easiest way to sell it was placing toothpicks beside the cantaloupe. They stick their little round, wooden toothpicks into the container like miniature adults.
I love how they think they're being naughty taking huge helpings of 'free samples,' when they're really just eating their regular ol' lunch.
And they're doing it all dressed as Spider-Man and Black Cat. Hey, I said it's Friday!
